Classroom Information Sheet
Dear Parents,
I am very excited for the opportunity to teach your child in school this year. They will have many fun and exciting learning experiences and sometimes even challenging! The following is some information I need you to be aware of:
1. MONTHLY CALENDAR AND NEWSLETTER: On the first school day of the month a calendar and newsletter will be sent home outlining the month in detail. It will also be posted online. Please read the information AS SOON AS POSSIBLE; please save it throughout the month for future reference.
2. TUITION is due on the FIRST school day of the month. All checks need to be made PAYABLE to Rise 'N Shine School..3. BIRTHDAYS AND VIP'S: On your child's birthday (or the closest school day before it) we will celebrate his/her birthday and VIP. A 1/2 birthday will be celebrated for the summer birthdays. A note will come home with the calendar explaining their VIP. You are welcome to bring treats on that day, but please no cupcakes or messy treats. Please avoid anything with nuts in them.
4. BOOK ORDERS: Make your book order checks payable to Scholastic. If you are ordering from more than on club, you can combine the totals into one check.
5. TOYS: I discourage toys from home being brought to school. They are usually quite a distraction. We do have a toy day after Christmas and they are welcome to bring a favorite toy on their VIP day.
6. DRESS: School is sometimes messy; we try to be careful but accidents do happen. Loose pants such as sweats are SO much easier when the children are trying to use the bathroom. There are more potty accidents because they couldn't undo or unhook their pants or overalls in time. The clothes are cute but can be too complicated.
7. IMMUNIZATIONS: Your child should be current on their immunizations. Once your child is exposed to the chicken pox it is too late for them to the vaccination; at that point it can do more harm than good. Every year someone breaks out with the chicken pox and exposure is a possibility.
8. GUM: Please leave it at home or in the garbage; it is horrible on the carpet.
9. DROP-OFF & PICK-UP TIMES: Please be considerate and pick up your child on time. Usually no later than 10 minutes before or after class is expected. Talk to me if there are special circumstances.
To promote and maintain the safety of our children and to extend the maximum courtesy to our neighbors; please take note of the following rules:
1. No parking on the opposite side (south side) of the street.
2. No dropping off children in any of the neighbors' driveways at any time.
3. No parking in any of the neighbors' driveways at any time.
4. No blocking in any neighbors' driveways at any time.
5. Have the children, if at all possible, exit and enter your vehicle using the doors on the right.
6. Inform relatives or anyone acting on your behalf for drop-off and/or pick-up of these rules.
